SOPHOI is a fast-growing Los Angeles based enterprise software company providing an end-to-end solution for Intellectual Property Management (iPLS). SOPHOI’s customers include major motion picture studios, television and media companies from around the world. SOPHOI is looking for a highly motivated Technical Writer with hands-on experience in creating documentation for SOPHOI’s iPLS (Intellectual Property Licensing Suite) software applications.
This position reports to VP Product Marketing.

Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain product documentation for a variety of audiences, internal and external
- Design and development of
- User guides
- Installation & operations manuals
- Reference and configuration guides
- Context sensitive help systems
- Instructional content to support training curriculum
- Manage document libraries and version control
- Plan, manage, and budget the production of documentation
- Work with Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Product Marketing to design, develop, edit, and produce product documentation
Job Requirements:
Candidates should have 4+ years of Technical writing and software documentation experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in technical communications, instructional design, English, or related field
Experience with documentation issues such as style template management, revision and change control, indexes, glossaries, and continuity
Demonstrated ability to use, and comprehend, software at a proficient user level
