Job Post: Elementary Technology Teacher

From Alumni 2006, Anne Branch:

One of the elementary schools in the district where I work has an opening
for a Technology Teacher. Responsibilities include planning and presenting
lessons to 1st through 5th grade students as well as collaborating with
classroom teachers to plan computer lab projects and to integrate technology in their own teaching. There is a Mac (OS X) lab and Macs in all classrooms; the tech teacher is responsible for supporting all computers (including a few PCs) on campus.

It's an 80% (usually 4 days a week) position on the certificated salary schedule.

There are four elementary schools in the Orinda Union School District.
I'm the tech teacher at one of the other schools; the tech teachers are a pretty
tight group and support each other well. The position is open because the
previous teacher retired after many years.

Orinda is in Contra Costa County, just through the Caldecott Tunnel.
It's reverse commute, though, and several of the teachers at my school live in
SF.

The position requires a teaching credential; there is a bonus for a
masters degree. If you've taken ITEC 815 and/or 816, this is your chance to put
them to use!

P.S. We're also looking for 2 or 3 Library Media Teachers, including
one for my school. Use the same application or email me if you or anyone you
know is interested.
